Notting Hill Carnival is one of the most anticipated events of the summer. Celebrating diverse culture and West London community spirit it has reigned the largest street festival in Europe.
Unfortunately the event has found itself constantly coming under the microscope of the Metropolitan Police, often seemingly unfairly so.
This has happened once again, as the official fed account has tweeted out a photo of a heroin raid and implied it was related to the carnival.
The seize took place in Catford – a long way away from Notting Hill – and seems to bare zero relevance to the carnival.
The Met are yet to respond but we can expect that from then soon.
The news comes a month after an MP attempted to move the carnival from Notting Hill.
