Just over a month ago a mysterious artist/producer by the name of Rayf appeared on SoundCloud with a self dubbed ‘mellow grime’ track entitled “Carolina” which immediately caught our attention. It would be impossible to box Rayf in, think Grime meets R&B. Mellow easy listening with instrumental elements of the street music we know and love.

After hearing his second SoundCloud offering “More Life”, we reached out to the East London all rounder for an exclusive. Premiering his latest “4:22”, Rayf explains:

“4:22 is about letting go, it’s about that one you can’t get over. It’s about energy and the one you share it with. All my songs derive from experiences I have been through personally or have witnessed. Women it’s all about women. I also sampled one of my favourite songs growing up Kele Le Roc – “My Love”.

Check out the track above and keep up to date via Rayf’s twitter.
