Since his emergence in the scene back in 2018, Homerton’s own Unknown T, has become a staple in the game. The East London talent has displayed versatility year-by-year, growing in stature and merging different sounds to show why Adolescence is the perfect title for his second mixtape. There have been setbacks along the way, but T’s progress could not be stopped, and this was just a stepping stone to achieve more in his short, yet successful career thus far. Friday sees the release of the eagerly anticipated Adolescence and to get you in the mood, we have selected 11 essential Unknown T tracks which are a must listen! Take in the list below and let us know your favourites on the socials!

“Homerton B”

Arguably the most essential Unknown T track on the list. “Homerton B” helped to rise the East London talent to stardom, and there’s been no looking back since the arrival of one of 2018’s hottest tracks. Detailing his hometown and everything that comes with it, “Homerton B” began to pick up numbers as the scene saw a new energy emerge in Unknown T. With endless flows and rhyming patterns to match, “Homerton B” was a game changer and the perfect way for T to introduce himself into the new wave of the drill scene.

Throwback (Feat. Crazy Cousinz)”

Whilst “Homerton B” gave us an insight into the life of Unknown T, “Throwback” delved into the past as we see T reminisce on his childhood. It also gave the artist a chance to express himself on a different sound, working closely with none other than the established producers Crazy Cousinz. Pouring out old memories to the nostalgic Tinie Tempah “Wifey Riddim”, Unknown T brings the modern vibes with this one and is definitely an essential to the scene.

Leave Dat Trap (Feat. AJ Tracey)”

As far as collaborations go, “Leave Dat Trap” was a breath of fresh air for the industry, as we see Unknown T and AJ Tracey unite the rising sound of drill, with the everlasting sounds of grime. Whilst the black and white visuals may give off a mellow feel, both artists pack punches with their lyricism and delivery, making “Leave Dat Trap” a certified go-to for any party or festival for the summer of 2019!

Fresh Home

Unknown T returns with a bang and with more energy than ever on this release. After some time away, Homerton’s finest had a lot on his chest and “Fresh Home” gave him the opportunity to unravel what was going on. Reflecting on unfair treatment because of his social status, Unknown T turns negatives into positives as he brings his unique flow to the forefront, celebrating his freedom as he cruises through London in a custom Unknown T whip!

Deh Deh

“Deh Deh” serves as the lead single for the critically acclaimed Rise Above Hate and the visuals showcase clearly the project’s artwork. The fiery track allows listeners to see Unknown T in his lyrical bag, speaking on his team and rivals, all whilst painting a picture with his clever wordplay. The creative visuals also see the emergence of Unknown T’s growing love for fashion as he sports a denim Billionaire’s Boys Club fit, whilst also showing love to the popular Northface x Supreme collaboration.

Squeeze & Buss

Unknown T’s ability to put such emphasis on his words, particularly those beginning with B, is shown more than ever as his vocal delivery sets him apart from the rest in “Squeeze & Buss”. Another powerful release from the Rise Above Hate project, the single sees Unknown T showcase the effectiveness of his ad-libs and yet another example of the drill artist being able to take his music to a new level. The popular hit became a trending song on Tik-Tok, taking Unknown T into uncharted territory and now being known on a global scale.

“Daily Duppy”

Unknown T opens up his lyrical artillery, as he joins the elite list of rappers to take on the GRM Daily Duppy. This was an overdue freestyle, with many wanting to see the Homerton talent step into the booth after the successes of recent singles “Deh Deh” and “Squeeze & Buss”. The visuals are engaging as ever, with T’s creative lyrics and punchlines coming to life as GRM help paint a picture, with animated punchlines and images popping out of viewer’s screens. Unknown T’s 2020 Daily Duppy is a must watch!

SS Interlude

Coming off the Rise Above Hate mixtape, “SS Interlude” displays a more affectionate side of T, as he touches on being close and maintaining a relationship with his lady interest. The soothing interlude shows a contrast from the usual, lively sounds of Unknown T, and points once again to the adaptability of the artist, who can now bring out emotion in his music and draw a wider audience into his craft.

Aven9ers”

The title is fitting, as KO and V9 join forces with Unknown T, for what serves as the Homerton anthem on Rise Above Hate. The visuals are imaginative as ever on this release, as we see Unknown T not only perfect his musical craft, but also delve into his creative side too. Unknown T, KO and V9 take to their jets as they fly high above the blocks, with the trio exchange verses to make “Aven9ers” a certified East London hit!

WW2″

Unknown T makes his presence felt as he kicks off the year with the release of his jumpy anthem “WW2”. The single sees the now familiar, skippy Unknown T flow in full effect, as T speaks on continuous rivalry’s and likens his wars to the days of World War 2. Impressive visuals as ever, T is ready for battle and gives off his aura in the video with his non-stop movement and bopping on the lively drill production, adding to his ever-growing vibe and status!

“Goodums”

“Goodums” sees Unknown T bring the vibes to the COLORS studio as we see the drill rapper step into Adolescence mode. Unknown T perfectly raises the stakes for the best individual performance, giving his all in the live rendition of his latest single to be released from the album. Performing to a bold pink backdrop, T links up with talented pianist Jay Verma to give “Goodums” a smooth, yet spirited offering.
