The viral animation Crazy Frog is set to make a big return next month alongside a new single!

The character – dubbed ‘The Annoying Thing’ – was marketed by ringtone company Jamba! back in 2005. The ringtone – which put a spin on the Beverly Hills Cop theme tune – was then turned into an official single which went on to top the UK charts for four weeks.

Now, two decades later, the frog is set to make a comeback with a new track on December 10th.

According to the BBC, the new track from Crazy Frog will combine elements of classic hits as well as TikTok trends.

Wolfgang Boss, the president of A&R for Sony Music who has produced and owns all of Crazy Frog’s music through his Mach 1 record label, said the release of new music from the animated character comes following an interest on YouTube.

“When we started Crazy Frog, there was no TikTok, it didn’t exist,” Boss said. “But right now TikTok is super important. It’s basically the number one platform for people to share new music and funny things connected with music.”

Boss is creating Crazy Frog’s latest song with producer Reinhard “Voodoo” Raith, who was behind the original Crazy Frog hit.
