An estate agency in Derby is facing online ridicule after posting a listing for a family home that included pictures from its previous life as a weed farm.

Potential buyers were shocked to find images of large cannabis plants, pots, fans, and other indoor growing equipment scattered throughout the house. T

The five-bedroom property was listed on Rightmove by Bagshaws Residential with an auction guide price of £150,000 to £200,000.

The house, which was a cannabis farm in 2019, contained over 500 plants across its 12 rooms. After the listing went viral, the incriminating images were promptly removed by the estate agents.

The property, described as requiring a “full scheme of renovations,” is currently under offer.

Sequence Auctions, a part of the Sequence group alongside Bagshaws Residential, highlighted the importance of transparency in displaying a property’s condition to potential buyers, especially in auctions where decisions are legally binding and often made without physical visits to the property.

The property’s history was confirmed by Derbyshire Police, but no arrests were made in relation to the cannabis grow.
