Marvel has unveiled a forthcoming Disney+ series, Eyes Of Wakanda, delving into the historical exploits of Wakandan warriors scouring the globe for perilous vibranium artifacts.
The official synopsis teases, “Throughout Wakandan history, courageous warriors have embarked on global quests to retrieve hazardous vibranium artifacts. This series chronicles their adventures.”
The announcement for the show – which will be animated – took centre stage during a special preview of Marvel’s What If…? season two, showcased alongside snippets of the X-Men ’97 and the renamed Spider-Man: Freshman Year, now titled Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man.
While details about Eyes Of Wakanda remain scarce, the event treated fans to a glimpse of the revamped Spider-Man sporting a proto-spider suit. X-Men ’97 was spotlighted, featuring iconic mutants such as Cyclops and a striking image of Wolverine charging ahead with pink, Gambit-charged claws.
Marvel enthusiasts who can’t wait for new content can mark their calendars for the December 22 debut of What If…? season two, with subsequent daily releases until all nine episodes are available.
