Folks of quiet Irish town Westport have raised complaints after receiving phone calls from people trying to reach X-rated TV channel Babestation.
The residents are said to have been “plagued” by Irish viewers of the channel who forgot to use the international dial code for the UK.
When calling the premium-rate number, instead of dialling 0044 first, avid Irish viewers of the channel have been dialling 098- reaching a very different audience indeed.
The regional development minister of the area – ironically named Mr Ring- said that his constituents were “aggravated and annoyed” by the situation, but should not have to change their number as a result.
