According to an aesthetician, an increasing number of men are turning to a unique anti-aging treatment using salmon-derived serums, specifically containing fish sperm, to slow the aging process.

The treatment involves injecting purified salmon DNA, sourced from sperm, into facial areas like under the eyes to stimulate collagen production. Dr. Patrick Robson, also known as Dr Pat, who practises in Manchester, explained that the DNA reportedly helps reduce wrinkles, improve skin hydration and boost overall radiance. “We can’t stop aging, but we can certainly delay it by enhancing skin vitality.”

The procedure, known as Vitaran Polynucleotides, is particularly popular among men and this trend gained attention after Kim Kardashian discussed the procedure on her reality show.

Dr. Pat has noticed a surge in male clientele in recent years, attributing this shift to the growing influence of male skincare influencers on platforms like TikTok and Instagram. “Over half of our clients are now men, which is uncommon in the aesthetics industry,” he added.

Dr. Pat assures clients that the fish sperm component, while attention-grabbing, is simply a method to deliver high-quality DNA.
