Wretch 32 has released a powerful new single titled “Black and British” featuring acclaimed artist Little Simz and Benjamin AD.
Launched during Black History Month, the track offers a poignant exploration of the Black British experience, combining personal and universal themes. Produced by WAVSDNTDIE, the song features a stripped-back, melancholic beat, while introspective lyrics address marginalisation, heritage and pride. The track includes a sample from Wretch’s grandmother, Beverley Scott, taken from the documentary Scenes From The Farm. The accompanying music video, directed by Meeks and Frost, showcases archival images of Black British culture, capturing moments of joy and vulnerability.
