Young Thug is now a free man after being sentenced in one of the most controversial cases of recent times.
After entering a guilty plea in his YSL RICO case, Thug was sentenced to a total of 40 years but broken down as the following according to TMZ – a commuted sentence of 5 years served with 15 years on probation and he will have to serve 20 years in custody if he violates his probation.
Due to the sentencing terms, Young Thug is now able to be freed from custody.

Thug was arrested back in May 2022 on RICO charges and has remained in custody since. The controversial trial which was closely followed by hip-hop media outlets and social media is note to be the longest running criminal trial in the state of Georgia’s history.
