Mahalia has revealed her upcoming EP Luvergirl. Spanning seven tracks, the project was crafted between the UK, Jamaica, and St Vincent, and captures Mahalia at her most liberated creatively.
Working alongside collaborators like Eric IV, BenjiFlow, and Savannah Jada, she’s pieced together a body of work that radiates warmth, fire, and vulnerability. For Mahalia, even when a situation begins in toxicity, it doesn’t have to finish that way—a theme that runs throughout the project. Musically, Luvergirl marks a return to a side of Mahalia we haven’t heard in years, drawing directly from her Jamaican roots for the first time since 2019’s Simmer with Burna Boy.
