“Words I Should’ve Said” unfolds over EMIL’s stripped-back production, where hazy synths and clipped piano notes lay down a stark, melodic backdrop. Against this skeletal soundscape, Mick and ENNY trade verses that unravel the wreckage of a fractured relationship, each offering their side of the story through sharp reflection and unguarded honesty.
Mick pulls no punches in holding a mirror to himself, confessing, “These ain’t the greatest parts of me but they a part of me too,” while ENNY counters with raw candor, admitting, “All this anger has the countenance of demons, all this anger means that there was truly feelings.”
