Dave announces his third album entitled The Boy Who Played The Harp, due out on the 24th of October.
Dave has etched his name into the UK Rap history books already, by releasing a classic debut album, an impressive sophomore and three hugely influential EPs, so it’s little wonder why there is so much hype surrounding this most recent announcement.
The Boy Who Played The Harp, comes four years after his last full length body of work We’re All Alone In This Together, and is sure to be another incredible work of art from the South London native. The name of the album is in reference to the biblical story of David playing the harp to King Saul, in order to give the troubled king some respite through the power of music.
The references to David go back as far as his debut album Psychodrama, where Dave’s brother reads him a letter from a passage in the bible (1 Samuel 16:10-13), on the closing of the song “Drama”, the Book Of Samuel also contains the same passage that Dave is referencing on the new album title.
