Victoria Jane drops her latest EP Take Note.
Crafted and performed by Victoria Jane, with engineering by Vidorra and production from Duncan Boyce, Prez, DDOT, and Sham Steele, the EP weaves together elements of classic R&B, contemporary and experimental soul, and airy sonic layers. At its centre is Victoria’s vocal presence—subtle, intimate, and disarmingly sincere.
“EASY” leans into gentle instrumentation and a warm, minimalist palette, giving space for her voice and the emotion behind each line to unfold naturally. While the track presents itself as a love song, it holds a more personal weight for Victoria, serving as a quiet tribute to her late grandfather.
Its counterpart, “Bad News,” explores the shadowed side of emotion. Moodier and more brooding, the song delves into the difficult feelings stirred by betrayal and fractured trust, offering a deeper, more conflicted take on affection and grief.
