Seven years on from the release of Memories, Nottingham-born singer and songwriter Ady Suleiman returns with renewed clarity, confidence, and intention. Now fully independent, his second studio album Chasing sees Ady articulating exactly where he stands — emotionally, creatively, and spiritually — as he reintroduces himself on his own terms.
The record captures the space between releases, tracing the physical and mental aftershocks of the pandemic, the tenderness of love, and the search for inner sanctuary. Crafted and completed between London and Zanzibar, Chasing features contributions from Birmingham rapper Kofi Stone, Nottingham wordsmith Jah Digga, and acclaimed producer Miles Clinton James — a key architect behind work with KOKOROKO, NAO, and Little Simz’s Lotus.
At its heart, Chasing feels restorative and open, with Ady reflecting on self-belief, responsibility, perseverance, and collective strength, offering listeners a moment of shared understanding and optimism. Away from public view, he spent extended time in Zanzibar and Kenya, reconnecting deeply with his Swahili roots — a period of growth and grounding that quietly shapes the album’s spirit.
