Lola Young has officially taken home her first Grammy Award, winning Best Pop Solo Performance at the 2026 Grammys for her breakout song  “Messy.” Visibly emotional, the South London singer accepted the award from Charli XCX, marking a huge moment in her fast-rising career.

Young was also nominated in the Best New Artist category, which ultimately went to Olivia Dean, rounding off a strong night for UK talent on one of music’s biggest stages.

Adding to the significance of the win, Lola delivered a stripped-back live piano performance of “Messy” during the ceremony. The performance marked her first television appearance since she collapsed onstage at the All Things Go Music Festival in New York City in September 2025, making the moment even more powerful.

The Grammy win is a major milestone for Lola Young, who continues to build serious momentum. She’s also heading into this year’s BRIT Awards with five nominations, further cementing her position as one of the UK’s most compelling voices.
