Since returning home, Marnz Malone has quickly reclaimed attention online, building momentum around his long-awaited mixtape Yaqeen.
Wasting no time, he travelled straight to Jamaica to film the visuals for “Nana’s Veranda,” the project’s opening release, before later unveiling “Chy Cartier’s Adlibs” featuring Tunde, shot against the backdrop of Dubai.
The 15-track body of work brings together a select roster of standout collaborators, including J Hus, Catch, Tunde, and Canadian rapper Bundog, while leaving ample room for Marnz to fully display his range, authenticity, and lived-in storytelling across the rest of the tape.
The project begins with “Nana’s Veranda,” a reflective and intimate opener already familiar to fans through its early visual release, where Marnz revisits memories from both his past and present. From there, “Splashin’” featuring J Hus delivers a long-anticipated link-up, blending both artists’ unmistakable styles into a track that feels effortless and overdue. On “Chy Cartier’s Adlibs,” a striking sample sets the tone as Marnz and Tunde trade intense verses, with Marnz shifting into a quicker, more energetic cadence over upbeat production. He then dials things back on emotionally weighted cuts like “Blue Is The Warmest Colour,” “Misery Loves Company,” and “Ostracized,” where his pen becomes more introspective.
Across Yaqeen, Marnz demonstrates a rare ability to balance sharp technique with emotional depth, using detailed lyricism to build genuine, resonant connections with listeners throughout the project.
