7Wallace, the creative studio and music imprint established by Idris Elba, has announced a new strategic alliance with Mass Appeal Records, the influential independent label and media platform led by Nas that has long championed hip-hop culture and storytelling.
The collaboration strengthens a working relationship already developing between the two camps. In 2024 they teamed up on Slick Rick’s album VICTORY, a project that reflected both organisations’ aim to celebrate hip-hop heritage while continuing to move the culture forward. As part of the rollout, Slick Rick and Idris Elba also presented VICTORY (The Film) — a 30-minute visual companion directed by Meji Alabi. Executive produced by “The Poet” (Slick Rick) and “The Visionary” (Idris Elba), the film featured appearances from Giggs, Estelle, and Nas. The visual project was screened at major events including the Tribeca Film Festival, SXSW, and HollyShorts Film Festival.
