You can re-live the Rated Awards right now using Channel 4’s catch-up service, All4.
The 2018 KA & GRM Daily Rated Awards took place at London’s Eventim Apollo and was hosted by comedian Mo Gilligan and radio personality Julie Adenuga. The hosting gig follows a successful year for the two which saw Mo co-host The Big Narstie show and have his own show commissioned by Channel 4, while Julie moved from strength to strength with her Beats 1 radio show and was featured in Vogue magazine.
The Rated Awards saw epic performances from some of the biggest names in UK music including Giggs, Kojo Funds, Ambush, Not3s and Ray BLK.
Giggs opened the show with an energetic performance of his link up with Da Beatfreakz, “Swingin in Da Whip”, and Legacy Award winner D Double E closed the festivities with a medley performance featuring special guests Footsie and Ghetts.
Channel 4 aired all of the performances, the award categories and added in a few exclusive skits featuring Amelia Dimoldenberg from Chicken Shop Date, Charlie Sloth and Professor Green.
Winners at this year’s awards included Rapman who took home Video of the Year for “Shiro’s Story”, Not3s who won Artist of the Year and Nines who received Album of the Year for his project Crop Circle.
The ceremony was a stellar event with appearances from Maya Jama, Josh and Kaz from Love Island, Daniel Kaluuya and many other huge names.
