This morning saw the release of Glastonbury’s 2016 line up, and to say we were extremely impressed is probably an understatement.
After an undeniably incredible year for UK Grime and Rap, that many felt was underrepresented by bigger national establishments (sparking the #BritsSoWhite debate and leading to this statement from the Chairman of BPI), we see a handful of our scene’s hottest artists taking the lead on the legendary four day Somerset festival line-up, which, for the first time, includes Skepta, Stormzy, Little Simz and Lady Leshurr alongside the likes of Adele, Coldplay and more.
What this could lead to is yet to be discovered but we will let our imaginations run with the idea of a Skepta/Stormzy/Simz/Leshurr x Adele/Coldplay/Muse collaboration…
