It’s been a whole year since the release of the very successful “Addison Lee”, and what a year it’s been. From winning the Best Breakthrough award at this years Rated Awards to a sold out headline London show, the past twelve months have been emotional not only for Not3s and his team, but also for everyone watching his journey.
It all started here on GRM Daily with the release of the “Addison Lee” visuals, exactly a year ago. It’s fair to say, the visuals alone have done a madness with almost eight-million views to date. While the song itself has climbed the charts, sold over 200,000 copies and has racked up an enormous sixteen-million streams on Spotify.
Mid-June this year, “Addison Lee” was put on the Radio 1 playlist, and that just sums up the whole of Not3s’ summer. As he then went on to perform at huge festivals including Glastonbury, Wireless and Reading festival to name a few.
Since “Addison Lee”, the work rate of Not3s has been unquestionable with a constant flow of single releases and features. “Notice”, “Aladdin” and “Celebration” have all received a huge amount of success as shown by the streaming and YouTube figures. He has also landed some huge features including Lotto Boyz “No Don Remix” and Juls’ “Bad”.
As well as the music releases, Not3s also took the Take Not3s Tour around the whole of the UK, with six dates including shows in Leeds, Birmingham, Glasgow and of course his home town of London. With such a high demand for tickets of his first ever London show, the venue was upgraded to the O2’s Academy in Islington and still sold out straight away. Guest performers on the night included Lotto Boyz, MoStack and man of the moment Michael Dapaah.
This latter part of the year seems to be the most exciting for breakthrough artists as the two most popular urban music award ceremonies take place. The first being the Rated Award’s in which Not3s was nominated for a huge three awards! He was nominated for Artist of The Year, Best Breakthrough and Best Track with “Aladdin”. He left the ceremony winning the award for Best Breakthrough, his on stage speech showed how grateful he is for everyone and everything that’s been apart of his journey so far. His efforts and success over the past twelve months have most definitely been noticed by everyone in the industry.
This year has definitely been special for Not3s and the success doesn’t look like it’s going to stop anytime soon.
