After talk of preemptive military action about North Korea and their stockpiling of nuclear weapons, the mysterious nation have now said they are “ready for war” with America.

A spokesperson for the official Korean Central News Agency said, “The nuclear force of [North Korea] is the treasured sword of justice and the most reliable war deterrence to defend the socialist motherland and the life of its people.”

“We have the will and capability to fully respond to any war which the US wants. If the businessmen-turned-US officials thought that they would frighten us, they would soon recognise that their method would not work.”

The comments are in retaliation to Donald Trump speaking out on North Korean and kim Jong Un’s testing of a new high powered missile.

“Let me be very clear: The policy of strategic patience has ended,” said the United States’ Secretary of State Rex Tillerson. “We are exploring a new range of diplomatic, security and economic measures. All options are on the table.”

Tensions have been high between the two countries for many years now, but these latest comments are an unnerving precedent for the future.

Experts have claimed that North Korea could have nuclear missiles able to reach the mainland US within just a few years.
