In a sick new project with Beats By Dre (aptly named ‘Beats Presents: The REDO’) which sees artists redo songs they love by other artists, Beats have called in old school favourite Craig David to cover new talent Jack Garrett’s single “Breathe Life”.

Having linked up recently with Big Narstie for the hit “When The Baseline Drops”, colliding new and old and mainstream and underground with amazing results, it seems only right he was chosen to kick off the project.

Recorded at the legendary RAK studios in London, Craig’s cover has the garage sound he undisputedly defined but fused with jungle, soul and R&B in what is a haunting and alternative take on Jack’s original electronic ballad.
