A house said to be the ‘thinnest in London’ is currently up for sale for just under £1 million.

Located between a hairdressers and a private clinic in Shepherd’s Bush, the five-floor house is 5ft 5in wide at its narrowest and includes two bedrooms, a kitchen, a dining room, bathroom, a roof terrace and a garden.

The property is currently up for sale for £995,000 which is almost double what it sold for 11 years ago.

The listing describes the house as a “quirky and charming home”, while also stating that it is “quite probably the thinnest in England”.

Speaking to The Telegraph about the property, Simon Waller – who works at Winkworth which is selling the house – said: “It was terribly bohemian.

“You could get lost in the different worlds over the five floors.

“Each owner has sprinkled their own fairy dust on it.

“The current owner likens it to a classic car – she’s tinkering with it constantly.”

Despite being 5ft 5in at its narrowest, the master bedroom is 20ft by 6ft while the dining room is 9ft 11in.
