Music and media executive Dellessa James is set to join Amazon Music UK as their new Senior Artist Relations Manager, which will see the talented producer lead their Black music strategy, starting this September.
The former Executive Producer of BBC’s The Rap Show with Tiffany Calver and Fire in the Booth with Charlie Sloth will be overseeing Playlists, creative direction and executing large scale campaigns for both artists and labels – an extremely exciting progression in the industry!
Of her new role, James said: “I am super excited to be joining the Amazon Music team, I am so passionate and committed to elevating Black music and culture.”
Working alongside DJ Charlie Sloth to produce legendary freestyles with creatives such as Drake, Stormzy, Megan Thee Stallion and Lil Baby, James also went on to work alongside the successful DJ at Apple Music.
With a 16-year career at BBC Radio 1 and 1xtra behind her, as well as two years at Apple Music, Dellessa is undeniably going from strength to strength in her career as she notably worked on shows for Trevor Nelson, Annie Mac, DJ Target and MistaJam, amongst others, championing Black music genres.
The step to Amazon UK will indeed be a positive one as she marks an iconic chapter in her career.
