With the PS5 set to release later this year, news of a new sensory controller to come with it has now broke.

The new PlayStation controller could potentially include biofeedback to adapt games to the users body.

Sony have allegedly filed patents that show they’re working on tech that can pick up signals such as sweat and heart rate to better understand the how the player is feeling. The information returned from this could help Sony in forming better player experiences.

Said patents are have been filed as “sensor attachment” meaning that this new development will be seen more an accessory rather than an entire controller.

No specifics on the hardware have been released but with patents filed and talk from Sony, the speculation may not be so far off.
