The highly anticipated Anthony Joshua versus Jarrell Miller fight has been called off as Jarrell Miller has failed a second drug test.

As previously reported by GRM Daily, Jarrell Miller was declined a license after his first failing which put the fight due to take place on the 1st of June at New York’s prestigious Madison Square in jeopardy.

Following news that Jarrell Miller has failed another test, the fight has officially been called off.

Miller posted a video to his Instagram where he addressed the issue.

Miller described his actions as “a bad call” and said, “I messed up. There were a lot of ways to handle the situation, I handled it wrongly and I’m paying a price for it. I messed up a big opportunity and I’m hurting on the inside. My heart is bleeding right now, I hurt my family, my friends, my team, my supporters. But, I’m owning up to it. I’m going to deal with it. I’m going to correct it. I’m going to come back better and I’m humbled by the experience.”

Miller then thanked his fans for their support. Watch the full video below.

One of the drugs Jarrell Miller tested positive for was GW1516, a banned substance which enhances aerobic power and endurance; a clear unfair advantage in athletic competition.

The Madison Square Garden fight was set to be Anthony Joshua’s American debut and it has been announced that a new opponent for the British boxer will be announced next week according to sports broadcaster and boxing promoter Eddie Hearn. Check out his tweet below.
