On the latest episode of Kenny Allstar’s Voice of the Streets segment on Radio 1Xtra, Kenny is joined by Blackpool’s Afghan Dan.
With the undeniable success of northern artists over the past year, it seems to have supplied confidence to many artists who are now embracing their roots. From Aitch to Ayo Britain, the northern accents have been taking over the UK music scene and even scoring chart success.
With an influx of fame and attention a few years ago, the Blackpool scene was known for its young MCs including Little T and Soph Aspin. But, today it’s Blackpool’s very own Afghan Dan who is representing the voice of their street’s on Kenny Allstar’s BBC Radio 1Xtra show. Stepping away from his grime roots, Afghan Dan takes on a drill instrumental.
