A$AP Rocky has been charged with assault and is due to remain in custody in Sweden.
The Harlem rapper has been detained in Sweden since July 3rd over his alleged involvement in a fight in the country’s capital of Stockholm.
Swedish prosecutors have now charged Rocky with aggravated assault, and he is to remain in custody until he goes to trial for the case.
A$AP Rocky’s team have maintained that the fight had taken place after the rapper and his bodyguards were being harassed on the street.
One of the alleged victims in the fight was also being investigated by authorities in Sweden on suspicion of abuse, assault and attempted assault but that investigation was dropped earlier this week, with no charges being brought.
It also emerged last week that Kim Kardashian, Kanye West and Donald Trump have been working together to free A$AP Rocky.
A date for Rocky’s trial has not been set as of yet.
