Professional Rugby player, turned genre blending vocalist, Biyi, has released one of the sleeper hits of the year, in the shape of new EP +33.
Throughout the project, Biyi employs his distinctive stream-of-consciousness style in both flow and delivery, offering a retrospective examination of his time as an expatriate in Paris. Reflecting on the period spent away from London, he delves into the revelations and self-discoveries concerning his identity as a man and his experiences in romance.
Speaking on the EP, Biyi says: “Making this EP was the thing that made the most natural sense to me as soon as I moved away and became confronted with thoughts that I hadn’t come across before. To me, it’s a journey outlining different stages of love, loss, the gray areas of relationships and the things that get left unsaid at times”.
