Having been premiered by Mistajam on 1Xtra, named Annie Mac’s “Hottest Track In The World” and been spun on Apple’s Beats 1 Radio within it’s first 24 hours, it’s pretty safe to say Bonkaz has a serious problem on his hands with new track “You Don’t Know (Bonkaz)”.
This latest offering see’s Bonkaz wearing his influences on his sleeve as he samples Dizzee Rascal’s “Bonkers”, and spits about growing up on Kano, More Fire Crew and Channel U. “This song is both an introduction to me and an example of me having fun with the music,” says Bonkaz. “A well known sample that coincidentally has my name in it, it was a no-brainer for me, especially as I grew up on Dizzee Rascal.”
