If you haven’t already seen Childish Gambino’s ‘This Is America’ video then you’ve been hiding under a rock. The multi talented actor released some very striking visuals earlier in the month where he painted the imagery of what it’s like living in America as an African American. Touching on issues such police brutality, gun control, racial discrimination and the role the media plays on taking the light from this situation.

With that being said, a Canadian YouTuber, Nicole Arbour, took it upon herself to remake Childish Gambino’s “This Is America” where she touches on topics such as public breast feeding, drug rape culture and gender wage gap.

After receiving major backlash online for “co-opting” Gambino’s message, the YouTube star was forced to release a statement where she said, “I was just trying to bring the light to woman’s experiences in a tongue and cheek way to give additional glory to what I believe is the most impactful piece of art in recent years.”

She further angered users tweeting, “im so sick of people mad at slavery. It’s the past, we aren’t there. We didn’t do it. But what we can do is fix our economic slavery. Focus on now.”

The “troublesome” YouTube star, made it to The Breakfast Club, where CharlEmagne ruled her Donkey Of The Day whilst playing her remake with fart like sound affects.
