Despite all the negative headlines we read every year about Notting Hill Carnival, as usual, the celebration was a huge success with not only numbers of arrests falling, but also a massive amount of money being brought into London’s economy.
From hotels being booked to small food stall holders, The Voice News has reported that an estimated £93 million flowed through London over August bank holiday. Buuuuut you probably won’t read that in the Daily Mail.
The outlet went on to say that stall holders they spoke to told them that Carnival was the highlight of their financial year.
It looks like once again Carnival has proved the police and councils wrong and had another successful year.
Bring on 2018!
