It was recently announced football will return behind closed doors on June 17th due to the coronavirus pandemic but to ensure viewers at home can still experience the football atmosphere, Sky have teamed up with EA to create simulated crowd noises.

Sky Sports have said the collaboration will allow them “to replicate the vibrant atmosphere of Premier League clashes, so fans don’t miss out on the noise that goes with the action”.

Sky Sports’ managing director, Robert Webster, said: “We want Sky Sports viewers to still feel it all and have the best possible viewing experience – even if they can’t be in the stadiums or watch with their family and friends,” said Sky Sports managing director Robert Webster.

Viewers will be able to choose if they want to watch games with or without added sound.

News of FIFA and EA’s partnership comes just days after the schedule for the first three rounds of the of the resumed 2019/2020 season was announced.
