Last week, rising North London singer Gabriella Cole shared her debut single, “On Track”. Now, the artist is back with some sick visuals for the song!
Elegantly stepping into the music realm, the 23-year-old singer captivates with a fearless fusion of electro and throwback R&B production. Crafted by up-and-coming producers Nolais and JEDSOUL, the song mixes empowering lyrics with firm confidence, all enhanced by a top-tier music video.
The video unfolds with a narrative set in a corner shop, reminiscent of Drake’s “Started From The Bottom” video. Adding to the spectacle, Cole captivates viewers with energetic dance sequences and engages in EastEnders-inspired acting titbits.
“I edited and co-directed the music video,” said Cole. “Working with the filmmaker DIFTY was a blessing. The video has a story that builds on the song’s lyrics. My artistry is all about subversion but also just having fun. It’s never that deep. I wanted “On Track” to have Janet Jackson-like choreography because I feel it contrasts nicely with my style.”
With smooth vocals and a great eye for visuals, we’re sure Gabriella Cole will be back with more music later this year.
