What’s great about the young and developing scene we have in London (and beyond), is the sheer diversity of it. It seems every day a new artist is coming to our attention, sounding new and innovative and original, yet still so distinctly British. Artists are getting weird and artists are getting experimental, and it’s due time we started highlighting some of these creatives that may otherwise slip under our radar. With that being said, welcome back to Go Left; GRM’s guide to alternative grime, hip-hop and R&B, the best of what you may not have heard yet.

This week, we’ve got some more amazing uploads too share. Kicking things off is producer CKtrl, who this week released his wavy new single featuring Roses Gabor, “Girl”. It’s a glittering song that blends elements of Erykah Badu-esque soul and electronic music, and we can’t get enough of it at Go Left.

Things stay in the R&B lane again this week, with singer/songwriter Charlie Rose making the list. He teams up with Dotty and Bonkaz for a smooth but somber new offering called “LYR”. Things transcend into some alternative hip-hop with Reppatwa’s homage to “Gucci”. He brings his laid back delivery and unorthodox flow to an even more bonkers instrumental.

Go Left turns up with Midland’s singer/songwriter/producer GRIM. His loosie “freestyle” track, “Dimepiece”, over an explosive Mr Carmack instrumental makes the playlist, before things round up with “FLKY”, the new trap banger from Nehmy.

We will be uploading more alternative videos onto our YouTube channel. If you fit in with those who don’t fit in, are part of the Go Left gang and have something wavy for us, send an email to [email protected]
