Sir Spyro has just launched his Grime On Tour series on 1xtra and he’s kicked things off in London by enlisting Lioness, Taliifah and Big Zuu for the first set.
Grime has come a long way since being birthed in east London in the early noughties – gaining an audience all over the world – but on the first Grime On Tour set, Lioness, Taliifah and Big Zuu remind us of the talent which has emerged in the London grime scene since then.
With Sir Spyro on the decks, Lioness takes to the mic first with her lively bars and flows before being joined by Taliifah and Zuu who shell down the set just as effortlessly with nothing but direct lyrics for around half an hour.
