As it is Halloween today, we figured that there was no better way to get you prepped for the evening than by bringing you a selection of weird, wonderful and down right disturbing hip hop and grime visuals.

slowthai – “Rainbow”

Slowthai is regularly bringing powerful visual productions to accompany his tracks, and a lot of them are pretty scary. On “Rainbow”, the visuals see him climbing out of a grave, intimidating the police and turning into a werewolf.

This video idea comes from Slowthai focusing on the stereotypical perception that society has towards those of a more mixed cultural background, which is why we see him raise from the place where all humans are equal, the grave. The video concludes with a homage from the film King Kong as Slowthai transforms into an ape and is seen swinging from Big Ben before being shot down.

V9– “Change”

Although not your typical Halloween video, V9 and his cohorts revived the epic film The Mask in his latest outing. The Mask’s classic yellow suit is of course sure to make an apperance at any half decent halloween party.

Ghostface600 – “Real Demons”

Ghostface600 is well known for his dark and spooky visuals, “Real Demons” is a continuation of this. The unsettling visuals switch between Ghostface600 in what appears to be a church surrounded by candles, to him lying on a trolley in the morgue, seemingly rapping his verse from beyond the grave. Musically, it’s easily one of Ghostface’s finest offerings, moving effortlessly between the wavey flow and straight rapping.

Sai So x M24 x Potter Payper x Skore Beezy x HP Boyz –”Demon Time Remix”

Sai So enlists a prestigious list of collaborators on this remix to his hugely popular single “Demon Time”. Eagle-eyed viewers will spot the nods to Halloween all over the vid, from devil horns, skeletons to the carved pumpkins.

Skepta feat A$AP Rocky & A$AP Nast – “Ghost Ride

Not so gory but more spooky and weird. “Ghost Ride” is a trippy video that resembles a glitched outtake on a 90s hip-hop video. It is very heavy on VFX with each rapper performing through visual effects, infrared and vintage filters. Sometimes you don’t know what’s coming next with the barrage of weird effects. The song was released on Halloween as part of Skepta’s Vicious EP last year.

CASISDEAD – “All Hallows”

Cas’s production is always stellar. He’s always taken a unique approach to everything he does, whether it’s visually, lyrically or just the way he takes his product to market.”All Hallows” is classic Cas, dark and disturbing; and that’s just the lyrics….

Krept & Konan – “Paranormal Activity Remix”

This video had a sick lineup that included the likes of Yungen, Ghetts, English Frank, and Scorcher. The effort that went into this six minute video is second to none along with the costumes, makeup and goriness. The video looks like a legit horror movie, and it’s genuinely hard to decide what’s better; the lyrics or the visuals?
