Vicious Cycle is a South London based drama movie centred on the negative aspects of life that certain inner city youths endure such as crime, unemployment and dysfunctional relationships. The movie is written, directed and produced by an ambitious creative, Jeremiah Kirlew, who also appears in the movie, starring as one of the main characters “Capone”.
Capone is depicted as a troubled young man in an area that has affected him adversely. Therefore, he is trapped in an unfortunate vicious cycle within the black community of South London – that revolves around violence, drugs and prison. Capone’s foster brother “Paul”, who also is troubled by his environment and is struggling to find employment, desperately refrains from turning to crime and tries to advise Capone to do the same to no avail. With Paul’s advice falling on deaf ears, situations get worse when Capone is set up and feels disrespect from a drug deal that goes wrong.
Capone seeks revenge which ends up taking a turn for the worst, when he murders the wrong person, an associate that himself and Paul grew up with as children.
