It was once the highlight of Saturday night TV but now the dating programme Take Me Out is no more as ITV have cancelled the show after a decade.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, a spokesperson for the show said: “We’ve decided to say goodbye to Take Me Out.”
Hosted by Paddy McGuinness, who coined the popular phrase “no likey, lighty” on the show, Take Me Out became a hit with fans when it first aired in 2010 in which a man would attempt to impress 30 women to secure a date with one of them on the Island of Fernandos.
However, viewership for Take Me Out has continued to decline in recent years, leading to the cancellation of the programme.
Paddy McGuinness won’t need to worry about looking for a replacement job as the presenter is currently hosting BBC’s Top Gear alongside Andrew Flintoff and Chris Harris.
