YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul has announced that his highly-anticipated bout with Tommy Fury on 6th August has been cancelled.

Last month, Fury was scheduled to announce the fight in a press conference but was denied entry into the United States.

Paul gave Fury until today (July 6) to resolve his visa issues but announced that he has already begun the process to terminate the fight.

“Fury’s received a termination notice,” Paul wrote on Twitter. “MVP [Most Valuable Promotions] did everything it could 2 help him & team. He wasn’t interested & he literally went into hiding.

“2nd time in a row he has pulled out.”

Jake Paul and Tommy Fury were originally scheduled to go head to head last December but Fury had to call it off due to a chest infection and broken rib.

Paul has said he still plans on fighting at Madison Square Garden on August 6th and will announce a new opponent soon.
