Earlier this week Forbes released their annual rich lists, including the much-anticipated hip hop sector. Diddy topped the list as usual, but the gap between him and number two on the list, Jay Z, had closed significantly with only $10 million separating the two. Now, with a new Live Nation deal, has Jigga finally claimed the top spot?
Jay has just signed a $200 million deal with the ticket distributors, tying them together for another ten years. The deal was a re up from a similar one made back in 2008, obviously they work well together.
Speaking about the freshly inked deal, Hov said, “Live Nation and I entered unchartered territory in 2008. Over nine years, we have traveled the world producing historic music experiences… This renewed partnership is a testament to our longstanding relationship and the talented individuals at Live Nation. For the next 10 years, we will continue redefining the live event landscape
Things won’t become official until the next list comes out, which means Diddy has 12 months to grab his spot back.
