In a surprising turn of events, music mogul Jay-Z has reportedly expressed interest in purchasing Tottenham Hotspur Football Club.
The club has faced uncertainty due to the legal troubles of its current owner, Joe Lewis, who is facing charges of insider trading. Despite being an apparent fan of Arsenal, legendary rapper is considering making a bid for the football club.
If Lewis is found guilty, Jay-Z is said to be ready to acquire a stake in Tottenham. With an estimated net worth of £1.95 billion, the rap icon is rumoured to have the backing of US investors for this venture.
This wouldn’t be Hov’s first foray into the world of sports investment, as he is already an investor in the NBA basketball team, the Brooklyn Nets.
Back in 2010, he expressed interest in investing in a Premier League club and even attempted to invest in Arsenal 13 years ago.
As fans eagerly wait for further developments, the music mogul’s interest in purchasing Tottenham has created a buzz in both the sports and music communities alike.
