London’s Joy Crookes has dropped all-new visuals for “19th Floor”, taken from her debut album Skin.
With a message-driven sparked from the struggles of immigrants in London, the visuals reflect the daily challenges within the community directed by Ebeneza Blanche, alongside Joy herself.
In the video, we see a combination of aesthetically pleasing scenes with a strong underlying message – confirming on her Instagram, these are reminiscent of her grandmother’s journey who faced similar obstacles after relocating to south London.
Since the release of her debut album, Joy has consecutively been championed across the globe, making a clear transition overseas which was solidified with a recent performance on the James Corden’s Late Late Show. On a mission to reach no heights, it’s evident that nothing can get in the way of Joy’s progress at this point.
