It looks like we’re definitely getting new material from Kanye West very soon as the mega star himself has now confirmed his new album, Donda, is dropping this week!
The release of the project was confirmed in a Beats by Dre advert which debuted during game 6 of the NBA finals overnight, which Kanye then shared on his Instagram page.
The ad stars athlete Sha’Carri Richardson who can be seen running in slow motion while details of Kanye West’s new album are provided in the bottom right corner of the screen, where we’re told “DONDA DROPS THIS FRIDAY”.
Donda, which is out on 23rd July, will serve as Kanye West’s tenth studio album and is titled after his late mother who passed away in 2007. The project will feature a track titled “No Child Left Behind”, which can be heard in the Beats by Dre advert.
Kanye first teased the album last summer but nothing ever materialised.
Over the past few days, it was rumoured that the album was finally dropping this week and the new Beats advert has confirmed the reports were true.
Could Donda be Kanye’s greatest body of work yet? We’ll have to wait and see.
