Kwollem is exciting. ‘Mellow Grime’ as its called has been the talk of Twitter and this new release is going to keep the conversation flowing. “Hit Then Run” by Jammz was a banger in itself but with a refix by Kwollem, it could only get better.
This comes off of the back of a successful refix of AJ Tracey‘s Wifey Riddim, racking 3,000 plays on the day of release. You almost know what to expect in terms of structure, this time round Kwollem mixes in the iconic horns on Jme’s “African Zulu Warrior” and with almost making three songs in one, we are treated to a kicked back drum pattern, followed by a self Grimey on slaughter of snares, ending on a truly mellow note blending in the nostalgic vocals of Brownstone’s “In The Game Of love”.
