The FA is looking to impose a lifetime ban on midfielder Lucas Paqueta according to reports.
The player was charged four times with spot-fixing back in May and according to Sun Sport, the FA recommends that he be banned for life should he be found guilty.
The full extent of the allegations allege that Lucas Paqueta deliberately got booked in four Premier League games in order to skew bets in his friend’s favour. It is alleged that one of the bets was only for £7.
Suspicious about Lucas Paqueta conduct were first raised by Betway.
The FA investigation started back in 2023 with a hearing expected later this year. Paqueta’s lawyers are yet to formally respond to the charges.
