Manchester City aren’t having the greatest season on the pitch this year compared to their own high standards, but it seems to be just as tumultuous off of it as well.

The blue side of the city are in seriously hot water after the Premier League have published their findings from an investigation into the clubs dealings, with them now potentially face a points deduction or even expulsion from the league itself.

Over nine seasons, between 2009 and 2018, they have been found to have breached a number of financial regulations.

These include “under-age players pressured to sign contracts with City through monetary payments”, their owner Sheikh Mansour fronting payments under the guise of a sponsor and also a suspicious compensation package for former manager Roberto Mancini.

Manchester City have reportedly failed to comply with the investigation and could also face a transfer ban and their titles being stripped.

These charges follow up a ban from Uefa back in 2020 that was eventually overturned.
