Mike Tyson and his high-profile clash with YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul on Friday night made headlines for more than just the fight itself.
A Netflix broadcast of the event inadvertently showed Tyson’s bare backside, sparking unexpected offers and conversations. During a backstage interview with his son Amir, the former heavyweight champion turned away from the camera, revealing his exposed rear. The moment, compounded by Netflix’s technical glitches, quickly went viral. Tyson, 58, lost the bout against the 27-year-old Paul by unanimous decision at AT&T Stadium in Texas.
The mishap caught the attention of adult webcam platform CamSoda, whose Vice President, Daryn Parker, extended an unconventional offer. In an open letter, Parker proposed a $250,000 deal for Tyson to feature in a one-hour live webcam show. Parker framed the offer as a less physically demanding way for the boxing legend to connect with fans, humorously adding, “You don’t have to worry about anyone biting your ears.”
CamSoda is no stranger to such offers, having previously approached athletes like French pole vaulter Anthony Ammirati, who famously lost an Olympic medal opportunity when his anatomy clipped the bar.
The fight itself, however, was a sobering spectacle for Tyson fans. Battling a much younger opponent, Tyson appeared sluggish, hampered by a knee brace and struggled to maintain momentum. Despite dominating early moments, his performance faltered, leading to Paul’s decision win.
