Mist Hospitalised After Being Shot During Robbery

Birmingham-born artist Mist is currently in a hospital in Portugal after being shot during a suspected robbery at a luxury villa in the Algarve.

Reports claim the burglars have taken phones, jewellery and the 27-year-old’s passport during the break-in.

Following the shooting, Mist – real name Rhys Thomas Sylvester – was rushed to Faro hospital by two friends in a white Mercedes. According to local authorities at the hospital, he was shot in the leg at approximately 10pm local time on Tuesday (August 28)

It has also been reported the robbery took place at the villa on the upmarket Quinta do Lago resort was and is believed to have been carried out by two, possibly three men with an Irish accent.

Further reports claim that heavily armed officers from both the GNR and PJ forced entry into the villa to ensure the suspects were no longer inside.

Hospital officials and local police are yet to release any information on the condition of Mist. Furthermore, it is not yet clear whether any arrests have taken place.
